Bobby Cuza of NY1 contacted Gallagher for New York last week, looking for a head shot for a story on the 13th Congressional district in New York. The one candidate left out of the profile of the race here is Mike Gallagher.
The race to succeed longtime Harlem Rep. Charles Rangel, who is retiring, could be the most hotly contested election in the city next year. With the Democratic primary still eight months away, NY1’s Bobby Cuza surveys an already-crowded field.
It is a crowded field and Cuza reports that Assemblyman Rodriguez might get in the race, which has been discussed in other media outlets. Nine candidates will be a real test of who is organized to get out the vote. Eight will be, too for that matter.
